Beyond Victimhood and Education: Peace building in Jammu and Kashmir Insha Resumed her education:
JKCPJ’s commitment to educating the victims of conflict has been socially accepted
and appreciated across major groups and intelligentsia. JKCPJ facilitated the
rehabilitation of Ms Insha Mushtaq (teenager blinded by pellets during 2016 unrest)
sending a positive message out to the civilian population and thus subsiding anger.
Insha Mushtaq belongs to Sedow village of Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
JKCPJ started an initiative “Beyond Victimhood and Education” to rehabilitate and
empower youth affected by the conflict. Under the same initiative 16-year-old, Insha
Mushtaq joined Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar on 22nd March 2018.
