JKCPJ conducts Career Guidance and Mental Health workshop at Government Higher Secondary School Gund Hassi Bhat, Srinagar

Continuing the initiative Student’s Connect 2022, JK Centre for Peace and Justice Foundation
successfully organized another workshop on importance of career guidance and mental health
at Government Higher School Gund Hassi Bhat Srinagar.
JKCPJ fellow Mr. Shahjhan Mustafa elaborated on how to help students to acquire the
information and skills necessary to identify career choices. Students were informed how career
guidance is important for a successful and sustainable future. They were given a detailed
overview of the best institutions of the country and how to get admission in these institutions.
Students were informed about the various forms of employment and the link between
aspirations and bigger achievements.
The youngest Kashmir to pursue mount Everest Mr. Rizza Alee also addressed the students
and said that bigger dreams and determination increase your opportunities for success. Well
informed choices and courage are the most important virtues to achieve big.
JKCPJ mental health expert Syed Manaal Andrabi discussed the importance of trying out new
things to explore one’s potential and not give up to achieve the success a person dreams of. She
encouraged the students to get some physical exercise done in a day, eat a healthy diet and stay
hydrated. By doing these small adjustments, one can manage one’s mental health stability at
the earliest. To the suggestions, the students responded enthusiastically and shared their
jubilant responses.
The staff and students thanked the team JKCPJ for notifying the student needs and conducting
these sessions. JKCPJ is organizing these events across the valley to recognize and enhance
student strengths, and promote positive outcomes in teenagers.
