SOIPAA; Sense of Involvement, Promise, Agreement and Achievement
The statewide initiative themed as “Capturing the Independent Understanding of Youth” was aimed to put into perspective the present situation in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and finding a way forward thereof.
JKCPJ through this initiative introduced the multi-pronged approach (SOIPAA), aimed at empowerment of youth, which we had shaped into four facets: 1) Sense of Involvement 2) Sense of Promise 3) Sense of Agreement 4) Sense of Achievement.
The process set out the extensive road map to be followed for effective involvement of youth in shaping the ideology.Promises made were kept resulting in de-escalation and reflecting in active increasing participation of youth in programs.At JKCPJ we value the agreement made and ensure the same is achieved and well received.
Carrying forward its youth related initiative JKCPJ facilitated various interaction between the administration and youth for redressal of concerns. Deputy commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary interacted with the youth. While pledging his support for addressing the issues highlighted by the youth, Mr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said: “It is the responsibility of the general public to take ownership of the public good initiatives. When perceptions of common people and those in the administration conglomerate, the results are always positive and friendly.” JKCPJ highlighted the issue of women harassment with district administration and responding positively established a helpline dedicated 24×7 at Women’s Police Station Rumbaugh, Srinagar.
Jammu and Kashmir Centre for peace and justice (JKCPJ) interacted with youth from different districts of the valley. The youth who participated ininteractions discussed plethora social issues like education, drug menace, women empowerment, sports, cultural activities etc. Youth also and presented their view and highlighted the issues related to education, cultural activities and sports during these interactions
