JKCPJ organizes a Round-table Discussion on Drug addiction
In its endeavor to stand with
society and government to curb the menace of
drug addiction, the Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Peace and Justice (JKCPJ) on
17th of July 2019 organized a round-table discussion on drug addiction by bringing
together people from the administration, academia, and health profession. JKCPJ is
the first organization to employ an “inclusive approach” to the menace of drug
addiction in Kashmir. The discussion was aimed at bringing together various
stakeholders and citizens to end the menace of drug addiction in the valley. Deputy
Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, and other prominent
personalities from the academia and health sector were among the panellists. On the
occasion, the panellists shared their perspectives on drug addiction and sought
feedback from the participants. The key suggestions received were well
implemented by the administration in the fight against the drug menace.
