Positive Youth Development Eighth youth interaction
Continuing its initiative of holding youth interactions, the Jammu and Kashmir
Centre for Peace and Justice (JKCPJ) on the 17th of December 2018 held an
interaction at Rajbagh. The youth who participated in the interaction raised the issue
of institutional violence. The participants said: “Higher Educational Institutions in
Kashmir are being administered by dictator character-like persons. Students are
shown no respect neither by the teaching staff nor by the non-teaching staff.” The
attendees said that there is a need for constituting grievance cells inside educational
institutions so that the student community may get their issues resolved. “The
student organisations which claim to represent the political aspirations of students
in Kashmir have miserably failed to raise the academic issues of students,” they
added.
