Positive Youth Development Fifth Youth Interaction

Continuing its initiative of holding a series of interactions for youth, Jammu and
Kashmir Centre for Peace and Justice (JKCPJ) on 28th of November 2018 held an
interaction at Head office Rajbagh. The interaction was attended by youth, hailing
from different parts of the valley, who stressed the lack of physical spaces for the
youth in Kashmir and their over-reliance on the abstract spaces (social media) for
expressing their concerns and above all registering their reactions. While offering a
way forward, the attendees said: “Provocation and Anger are the only things that
flow from these abstract spaces, while as the substitute abilities of these negative
traits (Provocation and Anger) among youth, which are Inspiration and Vision, can
be only achieved by encouraging the establishment of physical spaces.” The
attendees hailed the efforts of JKCPJ for facilitating a much-needed physical space
for the youth who need to acquire a sense of Inspiration and Vision.
